Warren Anderson's initial introduction to the meat processing business began with his employment at Food bank meat market, The meat market burnt to the ground in 1965. Warren opened Westside Lockers in its current place shortly after. Westside Lockers was successfully run and operated by Warren until he retired and his son, Richard Anderson Sr. (Dick Anderson) and Donna Anderson purchased Warren's interest in the business in 1975 and took over the management and daily operations.

Dick Anderson started working at Westside Lockers unofficially at the age of 18. he was a prominent member of the local community and served on the local school board. Donna Anderson could often be found behind the meat counter wrapping custom orders or teaching Sunday School at First Baptist Church while raising four children of her own. Dick and Donna ran Westside Lockers for 30 years.

Richard Anderson Jr. has always been an entrepreneur at heart and started working at Westside Lockers when he was 14 years old. Richard purchased the business from his father when Dick unofficially retired in 2005. Dick continued the farm harvesting until he was no longer able to in 2010. While Donna no longer wraps meat, she can be found Monday through Friday running the front office of Exeter Meats. Both Dick and Donna continue to be Richard's most trusted advisors.

After 5 years of having a single location on the Westside of Tulare, Richard Jr. opened Westside Locker's second location on 9th Avenue in Hanford CA in 2008.Westside Lockers in Hanford was originally an extension of the Tulare location with the same customer offerings. After 7 years operating Westside Lockers in Tulare and Hanford Richard was approached with the opportunity to purchase a butcher shop and smokehouse in Exeter Ca.

Exeter Meats had been locally owned and operated for many years By the Luiz family,  Richard purchased Exeter Meats in 2015 and with the help of Pat and Joe Luiz, reopened the butcher shop and smokehouse for business. Since the purchase of Exeter Meats, Richard has expanded services to all three locations to include smoking and curing, manufacturing sausage, and tumbling and marinating chicken and beef.
